Building systems that solve real problems.
BS in Computer Science, minoring in Math, at Brigham Young University. I'm passionate about building software that connects people and turning data into real insights.
Building data pipelines and ML models with modern Python tooling, plus systems programming in C++, Java, and Dart.
Shipping production apps and sites end to end — from Flutter/Firebase backends to React front ends and static deployments.
Formal training in data structures, ML fundamentals, and linear algebra, currently deepening into computer systems, discrete math, and web programming. 3.88 major GPA.
Led regional teams of 10–14, trained volunteers through mentorship, and drove initiatives that improved efficiency.
An AI resume tailor that took 1st place and the $2,000 prize at the Homecoming Hackathon. Upload your resume once and it's split into a bank of reusable "tiles"; paste a job link (or click the Chrome extension on a posting) and it picks your best-matching experience and generates a tailored one-page PDF. The extension can even fill out the application for you. Built and shipped live with a 4-person team in 6 hours. I built the OpenAI pipeline that parses resumes, summarizes job postings, selects the best tiles per role, and maps profile data onto application form fields, plus the ReportLab PDF engine with multiple templates and one-page auto-fit, and deployed it all on AWS (Amplify frontend, Lightsail + Caddy API, GitHub Actions auto-deploy).
A LeetCode-style platform that flips the practice model: instead of hand-coding solutions, users solve algorithmic problems by prompting an LLM, then get scored on token efficiency against a per-problem "par" target. Built as a 3-person team in an 8-hour hackathon sprint. Implemented the code-execution pipeline that runs submissions in a Docker sandbox and validates against test cases, a bullet-point AI review pass on passing submissions, a replay button with a countdown timer for retries, and a leaderboard/profile system that tracks best score (not just most recent) with logout and reload-safe state.
A Flutter/Dart and Firebase multiplayer research simulation built for Dr. Jake Crandall's lab, modeling healthcare economics — fee-for-service incentives, information asymmetry, and insurance markets — as a live multiplayer game. Designed and implemented the insurance system end to end: a coverage-visibility model that treats information asymmetry as an experimental variable, a structured doctor-patient price negotiation state machine, an insurance reimbursement queue, and a manual payment ledger with a round-summary UI for players. Also built a patient-bot behavior system that negotiates prices with a convergent-concession algorithm and walks away from extortionate offers, growing the test suite from 152 to 249 passing tests.
A multi-page marketing site built pro bono for a family friend's soda and soft-serve trailer in McCall, Idaho. Translated the client's brand kit — custom type pairing, a five-color palette, and signature checkerboard motif — into a full CSS design system from scratch, then shipped home, about, menu, contact, and events pages. Handled the full production pipeline: video asset optimization with ffmpeg for web delivery, animated SVG fallbacks, and a Git/GitHub deployment workflow, including a from-scratch repo recovery after a lost local history.
A survey-based carpooling platform that connects skiers and snowboarders by matching availability, location, and preferences to coordinate shared transportation to the mountain. Co-developed the matching algorithm and designed the user survey system to collect and process rider and driver data for efficient pairing.
